Upcoming Bowling Events

Members Roll up and Bowl – most Sundays at 11:00am – starting 27April through to 12th October 2025

Saturday 20th September – Bebbington vs Knutsford B. Match at Knutsford Bowling Club 10:30 start.
We had a great days bowling in torrential rain which failed to dampen peoples spirits. Bebbington were again the overall winners on the day but the main outcome of this friendly match was that everyone had a fun day with smiles all round.
Sunday 21st September – Jack Bryning Triples (FNL). Starting at 10:00 am
What an end to the Friday Night League competitions season. The sun shone brightly all day long which pleased the 17 triple teams and spectators. KBC would like to thank everyone who helped out on the day, we also thank all of those who donated raffle prizes.
After a day of splendid bowling, played with the usual good humour, we had a great final between Mersey Valley (Tom Humphries, Steve Worrall and Gary Minton) and Mere A2 (Richard and Alex Owen and Alec Wright). After 20 ends Mere A2 had 19 chalks and Mersey Valley had 9, but then we were treated to an amazing comeback with Mersey Valley winning to 19. Well done to everyone.

Sunday 28th September – KBC Novice trophy. Starting 11:00. Eddie Smith successfully defended his title and overcame some strong challengers to end up in a final with Andrew Lloyd-Green. The final score was 21-11 to Eddie. A big thank you to all entrants and we look forward to doing it all again next year which will hopefully include even more new novices.

Sunday 5th October – Knutsford Autumn 2025 Open Pairs Contest.

The open pairs competition as ever demonstrated some quality bowling. The day was kind to us with the weather being mainly dry and slightly overcast giving perfect bowling conditions.

The day progressed well with plenty of friendly banter. After some hard fought games, the final took place between Paul Drinkwater/Ian Howell and Andy Pearson/Steve Gavin. Contested in good spirit, Paul and Ian finally took control of the game to win with a score of 21/07.

Our congratulations go to Paul and Ian and our thanks go to Andy and Steve for their contribution to a great day’s bowling. (Photos in gallery.)

We would also like to thank all of our members who donated raffle prizes and cakes and especially all of those who helped on the day to make the competition run so efficiently. A special thank you has to go out to Elaine Berry for her preparation and organisation of the entrants on the day. Also, a big thankyou goes out to John Berry who once again demonstrated his cooking skills on the barbeque.

We look forward to see everybody next season with a full calendar of bowling events.
